Hi,
I've got a DiTV 2000 Pace box. It's subcription expired a couple of months ago. I was just wondering if there's a way to cut the talkback and also extract the BK (box key) from the box? Thanks |

Yes this box is possible but quite a pain so if its your first go at a box i would probably stay away and choose something easier like sammy 2100.
Talkback is located inside the tuner pics are available around the forum. As for getting the bk, if your box has been off stream for a while the card may have been hit with false details. The only other way of gettin the bk from this box is by the voltmeter method available in downloads. Good luck

Yes mate, it's my first go at a box. I've got the image showing where to cut the talkback but is that the only thing you need to do? Does it not involve doing anything else? And by the way that box did not come with a card. There is no card in that card slot. |

As far as cutting talkback yes thats all thats required.
But then you will need the bk and ird to program a card and if you don't have the paired card then this box is quite difficult especially for a first attempt. There is a way but it involves a voltmeter and soldering about 19 wires. There is a tut available in downloads called VM2000. But just to warn you that if the soldering goes wrong the box may become useless. Good luck

Alright ok, i guess it's really difficult considering i've never done soldering etc. before. Would it have been easier to retrieve the BK if i had the paired card?

Nothing specific that you might not already have. A very fine soldering iron definately. Then a small pin/needle aswell for connecting the voltmeter to the connections on the spare atty pads.
Have you has a look at the voltmeter guide it lists everything it reccomends you should need. Also shows pictures of everything makes it quite clear.
