Taking my first tentative steps into dvb-s and have searched but cannot find the info i need. Was given a Hauppage dvb-s2 nova pci card, have installed it (on vista pc) and at the moment i get a decent signal from Thor 1.0w (all fta channels are fine) having probs with the other satellite signal strength but hope to remedy that soon so thats not a problem.
My question is, is it possible to clear the channels on Thor 1.0w using v-plug or any other software method? if it is can someone steer me in the right direction as im kinda stumped at the moment. Cheers guys. |

You should be able to clear the Digi TV channels as these are currently open on general emulation, if you get a Diablo 2.3 cam you can also clear Canal Digital:

Seems to me that the satellilte companies are winning the battle as Nagra3 has stood up for over a year now and NDS for how long, 10 years or longer? |

I'm no expert on the subject (noob myself really) but Nag3 is short for Nagravision 3, an encryption algorithm used by satellite companies (mainly in europe). It's been around for over a year now I believe and it's never been cracked. So any channels that are encrypted with Nag3, if you want you pay simple as that, no other way around it.
