Hiya

Can anyone help with this? Noticed earlier threads saying it can be done but with difficulty, is that still the case? If so, where is the softward etc? I have a new phone and wanted to unlock this one and keep as spare : >

this phone can be unlocked buy getting a unlocking code from the network the phone is currently on,or by a special unlocking tool knows as setool 3 which your local mobile unlocking shop should have.i live i sheffield and i unlock and repair mobiles so if you or local i can sort it out for you.

You don't need an unlocking code, the phone is based on the DB2020 CID51/52/53 platform which can be unlocked for free using a simple vkp patch. This patch is sent to the phone using an application called SETool (no box is required because you can use a cracked version).

i wouldnt use a cracked version,it might mess the phone up.then you will have to have it flashed

Thanks mate, I am getting one from a friend and it is locked to O2 Ireland, he was on bill pay and left because they would not get rid of one of those blasted ring tone things. They told him that his card was a pre-used one and that it might have been a previous owner that had set up with the ring tone lot. My friend just canceled his contract, but he seems to think that the phone is locked to that sim.

you can flash the phone for free with phonexs, it doesnt brick the phone as i have used it many times before.

dont use cracked software on any db 2020 and above because it will damage your gdfs and otp and your will have to testpoint and reheat the chip.... get it done properly

Okay cheers, don't want to mess it up and make it useless! So sorry for being thick here but who would I need to contact to get this done and will they need the phone to do it? Ooo and does anyone know what it costs?
