A friend of mine has brought back from Germany a clone card which unlocks multiple provider channels on Hotbird including N*VA Greece and Cyprus. This card works on a simple decoder called XDSR400. Any idea what it takes to program more of these cards? How is this card called?

Its probably a gamma card.

most likely it is.It will probably unlock bulsatcom on 39E

looks like a gamma card to me, unlocks either nova, bulsat or canal + nl but you can only use 1 file at a time

you can program them with a cas3, i dont know how as i dont have one but seen the card icon in cas studio for it

Anyone know where i can buy these from online? Websites with tutorials or info on how to program these?

Do they last or do they need reprogramming every week?

You probably wont get one from a uk supplier The Irdeto security goons soon visited any shops selling them.

No-one will give you anything but the most general info on this forum.

Also remember that cardes are a mugs game. Support for a card only lasts as long as it takes the makers to make a nice profit on them. Then it dissapears faster than mist on a sunny morning.

if anyone knows anything more, he could PM me the info. Or perhaps for abracadbra card, since from what i am reading in the forum, its the successor of gamma.
It is my understanding that gamma has lasted for more than 1.5 years now so i guess its a card lasting that long is a good investement anyway.

Comparing to 100s of pounds that an original No*a card costs...

Gamma arn't difficult to get hold of, you can buy them in the uk infact I saw one of the sellers selling one on here the other day.

Abracadabra card is not a replacement for gamma, its a a card that works only in echolink receivers and also only certain ones. They stopped there support for receivers as all the clones where using the same software. So now you need to buy a card + other software but it opens a big range of packages.

I think in europe a card that is either the same or similar to abracadabra is th electo card. Also from what I am hearing the next replacement for gamma is the Coco Mcr card.
