Default Installing a new drive - Help!

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me, over the weekend we attempted to flash my xbox’s drive (Hitachi GDR-3120L) using Firmware Toolbox and I managed to backup the raw dump, classic dump & I wrote down the key but when I went to flash the drive my PC crashed and the drive bricked.

I reconnected it to my pc & to the xbox but there is no life in it at all so I bought a new drive (Samsung MS:28) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could well get my xbox working again using the files I backed up please.

I’ve tried putting the new drive into modeb and it’s not being recognised in windows so im at loss for what to do so any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

you need to get ixtreme1.5 and in there is a ix15.bin for samsung (has sam in name)

open that with firmware toolbox and where you see the key display box there is a little box to the right with .... on it.click that and then browse to the dumps you got off the hitachi and choose it and it will ask if you want to replace the key, click yes.

go into tools/spoof firmware and select to spoof the drive to that of the original,so you will be spoofing it to an hitachi model.

now you can use dosflash32 in windows to write the ix15.bin with your key and spoofed to that of the original hitachi model to the drive.

Thanks for the help everybody!!!

blakey_8 gave me a great guide similar to yours sal but when I flashed it with a spoofed hacked drive it kept telling me that "this disc only works in an xbox" but when i flashed the drive with a none hacked firmware it worked first time.....so I dunno if that's anything to do with the fact I have the NXE but at least I can play games now

Thanks everyone it's much appreciated and saved my xbox

The NXE won't affect the flash, re-create the spoof using Firmware Toolbox. If you need the iXtreme 1.5 firmware for your drive, drop me a PM and I will send it to you .
