Starview 4 Channels all mixed about

Hi chaps, I'm hoping some of you might have some ideas for me as this is driving me mad lol

Basically I have a new Starview 4 usb. I'm living in Ireland and I flashed it right away with firmware V1.07 and the logo and bam it found all channels when scanned and they also came in clear when I exited to sly sports, but then I noticed all the channels are mixed up.

Basically all the news channels are in the kids catagory. The movies are in the sports catagory, music channels are in the entertainment ect...

I then flashed the box with firmware V1.05 and all the channels were in the right catagories but the channels won't update at all.

I then flashed the box with the Uk firmware V1.06 and once again the catagories are all messed up but the channels update no problem for me.

This has me stumpted and has given me a head ache lol

Any suggestions on this issue guys ?

youve got two option here mate you can either search and download starveiw channel manager and do the sort on there or you can get a cdf for your area and put this on your box me personally would go for the first

Hi and thanks for the reply. As far as I know the Starview Channel editor is still a bit buggy and the sort issue will be fixed in the next release as at the minute if you upload the channel dump to your pc and sort it out and put it back on your box it's not showing up, but I read today from the autor of the channel editor that that will be fixed in the next release.
If your talking about a totally different program I'd like to hear some more about it.

No I'm running it straight off the main feed. I actually have a replay lite hooked up at present and it's working perfect. Just to be on the safe side I brought the box to my sister's house roughly 7 miles away and reflased it with V1.07 and rescanned and it came back the same under different catagories.

It seems all the stations and radio channels are there but just not in the right catagories.

You asked the question elsewhere and no one answered I see. The problem is specific to the way the firmware interacts with the Irish channel set up.

Its not really a show stopper and as you have already been informed the SV4CE will be improved as it is still Beta. Its basically that your categories are not matched to their genre, but with an improved SV4CE hopefully you can sort this.

Hi, yes I did ask this question on a specific forum but it didn't get a reply so I was hoping some one here might have some info on the issue in question.

Yes I totally agree it's not a show stopper at all and I've used the box channel editor many times so I'll definitely be looking forward the the next version of the SV4CE. It was just the first I've seen of this so I didn't know what was happening, whether the box was a bit iffy, or to be honest I hadn't a clue what was causing this to happen.

One last thing, is this a common thing to happen with this particual firmware version in Ireland as I noticed when I flashed it with the V1.05 the channels were perfect but just not updating.

it's just a manual input to the brain m8 for the time being i am sure the issue will get sorted as satsmo as said

but with an improved SV4CE hopefully you can sort this.
