Default dvd player problems

hi when my eurovox 5000 pvr is connected my dvd player plays eratically can anyone help?

the picture is fine for a few moments then it distorts as does the sound

Try Pressing the "AUX" button on your EV's remote when playing your DVD... Might just be a scart signal from the EV crossing with the scart signal from your DVD player..

If you have them both on at the same time its known to cause conflict, some TV's auto select what ext you go on when your console/ dvd / cable box / other is turned on, try ensuring all others are powered off, after all you can only watch one thing at a time right?
i have two scarts on the back of my plasy, and i have had to use scart extensions that turns them 2 into 4 scarts so i can have plugged in what i need, but if i have euro and wii on at the same time, the two conflict causing massive wavey lines over the screen, solution was one on at a time if they run off the same ext or mix and match them around to suit.
