Pace 4000

I got my hands on a pace 4000 (telepest), and after some reading, I found out that it is possible to get these boxes working in pure area. BUT when I try to reset the box by pulling jumper, sometimes for over an hour @ a time, it never resets back to 09999. I thought that these boxes also set the net id itself if you were in a pure area?
Anyways, I tried using funcard method of setting net id , but it still stays the same. Probably because I cant get it to reset to default 09999. I was also gonna use libby to do it, but I cant find the schematics Anywhere to convert a scart & rs232 cable to do the job!
Has anyone came accross this problem B4, or has anyone any suggesstions?

Yes 4000 and 1000 work i use funcard they wont auto set, they also wont update unless already on 3.6, ive got a few still running on old blue epg.

Make sure freq ,symbol rate, and qam are set right in eng menu, then fun should work.

the way i do my paces is to send a update macro to it via jtag, so it has the pin boxes for movies and area and pic code done and updated software allready

I have tried the fun net id tutorial m8, to no avail.
Can you try and shed some light?
I have net id v2 final, and followed it word 4 word, but stll no joy..
Any help, as always, is greately appreciated!
By the by, if any 1 has the schematics of how to make a scart to rs232 adaptor available, I will give that a go to!

Shouldnt they return to 09999 after pulling the red jumper m8?
Mine change number randomly??
I have evne left jumper off for about an hour PLUS shorted abttery, just fo good measure, but it still doesnt reset to 09999??

You wouldnt be any chance have a schematic of an rs232 to scart lead conversion?!!

I did a 4000 this evening and i could not get the net id to change so what i did was i pulled the battery and the jumper off and put it back on and i noticed that it had changed to 10970 i think! and i thought it was strange!! but then the funcard did work and all seems ok!! strange!!

Did u say they wont update i have got one running with old blue EPG, was expecting to update to 3.6 anyway is there away of making them update to 3.6?

I know if there was a way of doing it Reiesel would have tried/done it but u neva know

Got a result on the pace 4000. Sent for the scart to rs232 adaptor, edited the 4000 config file with my net id, and away it went!!!
