Question Setanta/Dragon CAM?

Question (by a dumb ass): Will an official Setanta card work in a Dragon CAM in my FS Passion HD receiver?
Or does it only work in an official Setanta CAM?

I have a slot in my TV for a CAM of this kind but I wanted to avoid buying the CAM and go straight for the card.

If anyone know's the answer Mickha will know

Cheers in advance.

Mike

No it wont - the Setanta cards / cams are for reception via DTT not via satellite, and are Seca 2.

Satellite uses NDS Videoguard

an ex subscription card or freesat from sky card in a dragon or diablo cam will work in your receiver

i just use one of them freesat from sky card in my vantage to view setanta channels with subscription, they just ask for card number no needing a sky subscription and away you go

Cool ! Thanks for the replies.

I already use my Sky card in my receiver/CAM for the FTA channels (ie Sky Three/E4 etc) but thanks for answering my question I'll go for the Setanta CAM option.

Cheers.

if you already use the card for sky 3 then just call setanta and give them the card number and they will switch the channels on

I think the Setanta CAM is for DTT as well. For satellite you need a Sky card as wod said, and a receiver that can read it , eg Sky digibox, Dreambox, Technomate TM6800, vantage, Diablo, Dragon CAMs etc, and a method for keeping the card alive-Dreambox, Sky digibolex
