Default Haxorware ip address issues

Hi Guys,

I have always been using infinte but just testing haxorware, just got stuck with a weired issue. For some reason when my modem is connected to PC it does not seem to get an ip address. If i fix the IP address i.e. 192.168.100.10 i can access 192.168.100.1 and can also see the modem is online got a config etc but for some reason my PC is failing to get an ip address.

Any ideas? Is it anything to do with the section of mac address, had HFC address, ethernet mac address and usb mac address, does ethernet mac address need to be the same as my pc ethernet mac address?

Thanks

not sure could not see it anywhere. Is there a guide on haxorware as there are so many options to configure etc which does not explain what they are or what they do.

Honest opinion, this haxorware might be useful for a expert on modems and know what all this options etc do.

I have been using infinite and its simple as in flash it and do the cmmands needed to protect it and away you go. Been struggling with this haxorware since dont know how many hours and just given up, maybe its a touch and go?? dont know. It just got too many options to configure where as someone like me jst wanna go online.

just dont know why i cant get an ip address... put me off it infinite rocks i guess

you dont need to change anything, its just defaults + your regions freq + mac.

to flash you would need to do a 2mb dump to reset defaults, i wouldnt bother.

just do factory reset in haxorware, goto freq and change to "both and euro" then enter your regions freq.

save and reboot and you should see lights going solid as it locks, go back to haxorware again and sort out mac.

Hi,

Just to add this modem was on Infinite and i flashed it with 2mb dump with RC3 i believe.

Once that was doen i flashed it again with RC6, just wondering whether this might have caused an issue.

Has anyone got a 2mb dump with RC6 which i might do as a last resort.

Thanks
