Default No HDD

In Dreambox Control Centre under memory it tells me that there is no HDD.
When I press the red button to record it says no HDD found or not initialized. Now there is a hard drive and it is initialized, It works fine in everything else, has anyone any ideas?

Regards

It's a long time ago that I installed a hard drive in my 7025, but I seem to remember that a lot of experimentation was needed before I got the jumpers set correctly. Having said that, however, it doesn't sound like your problem is anything along those lines. Has the HDD previously registered correctly in DCC and on the 'system' > 'harddisk' > 'initialization...' menu item? (If yes, then it obviously has nothing to do with the jumpers; if no, then maybe it does...) Or maybe this is an issue to do with the particular image you're using (have you recently flashed a new image?). How about the 'system' > 'harddisk' > 'filesystemcheck...' - does that show your HDD correctly?

Apart from the above suggestions/queries, I really don't have a clue - sorry.

Thanks for that

I have managed to get DCC to see the HDD, it was a mounting issue, however I still can't record via the red button

Regards

could it be something to do with he file structure on the hard disk? when I tell the box to record maybe it can't see the path. In DCC the Root is a copy of the CF, should the root not be the HDD, if so how do I tell the box?

20 January, all sorted and working fine: in DCC the HDD was Mounted, when I unmounted it it worked perfect, red button and all.
Thanks for all those who looked.
Regards
