Default help please with modem

Hi guys...new here so be gentle with me

ok..short story first...i was using my 20mb modem fine for a couple of years..then...due to circumstances cancelled my virgin ... now reconected and the old "proper" modem working fine buy my 20mb wont work.

ive tried a known working mac..so not that.

the tftp address ive found...by right clicking on status of network etc has changed from its original 62.30.192.114 (birmingham) to .113 so ive tried changing that in sigma..still nothing. also the upstream channel ID used to be 3 but now its 2.. so i changed that also...nothing

im getting a couple of lines in the log files....

SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire FEC framing
SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing

any info on the above appreciated... im stumped!

thanks in advance

ok...its working!!!!!!!! how.. i removed the tftp ip info from sigma...left it blank...hey presto
