Default little bit of help please!

hi im a noob at this angle and its the first time i tried to set something like this up having previous used a STB through VMC

right i have a
Floppy DTV C/CI
Blue Zeta Cam Joker 0.79
Funcard 5
Vista MCE w/o TV pack

i understand the basics and have installed the card and searched and found all channels etc just a bit stuck on creating a AU fun for de-scrambling the encrypted chnls

what i don't understand is i have my box key from the Zeta Cam but whats the IRD do i have to make one up and apply it to the Cam and the funCard or just make it up and apply it to the funcard

also last thing what should i put in the Cam ID box in toxic?

thanks

Make the IRD up and just put it in Toxic (together with the Boxkey from the CAM). Don't touch the key's section in Toxic, leave them as zeros. This will give you a file output. Also download the relevant area's flash file from the toolbar.

Put the Toxic output file into the Funcard's ExternalEEP area and the area flash file into the Funcard's Flash area.

Once your card's written pop it into the CAM and into the PC. Settle back and watch BBC for 20 minutes or so (this will give the card time to receive the relevant instructions from Virgin). Then switch to an encrypted channel - Sky Sports one works well, and leave it on the black screen for another 10-20 minutes. At some point in this period the card will hit the right keys and your picture will appear.

Good luck mate. Just have patience and it will work!

When I started out I was missing channels. Firstly, try the "scan for more channels" a couple of times as sometimes that will find them second time around. Next step, not sure it's the best way, but this worked for me:
  • Found the NetID for my area
  • Kept subtracted 8000 (as that's the interval it scans in) until I couldn't anymore - mine was 3000
  • Rewrote my FloppyDTV registry to start at 3000, and go up in steps of 8000 until I got bored - I think mine was about 995000
  • Did a full scan and they all showed up.
As for the EPG problems, that's a whole different ballgame - check out any more epg news ? for the solutions so far!

I am in a TW area by an amazing quirk of fate. The one I made is in this post linked here:
any more epg news ?
your mileage may vary but I've found all the channels I'm supposed to.
