Hi All,
Se up new box and scanned for channels.
Found all channels but can only view FTA.
I know I need to copy cams accross etc but cant seem to find what I need and how to do it in stickies.
Any help much appreciated

have a read through the threads..........the procedure is exactly the same as that used to get the dbox up and running.

Hi All,
I have read + read + read until my head is sore, just going round in circles.
I would real appreciate if any of you nice peeps would guide me towards a tutorial and what I need to get my box up and running / view non fta channels etc

It's all here and been covered many times.........but here you go........save you from more trawling, LOL

FTP the following files to the var/keys folder
Autoupdate.Key
camd_cfg
nagraepr7.bin
nagraram7.bin
nagrarom7.bin (be sure to use cydine's version dated 28 Nov 08)

FTP evocamd to the var/bin/emu folder ( this file needs to be chmod 755 - or it wont work )

Reboot your box then zap to an ancrypted channel and wait a few minutes till the keys clear.

If you have any friends with a fully working dbox2 or dreambox then yes, you can lift the files via FTP from one image and save to PC then FTP over to your box.

Fook me mate......I feel like nippin over to yours and doin it for you !!

You say you have a mate with a working image.......copy it and flash it to your box via telnet...............

I nicked this from some other real nice site, but it's tried and tested... BY ME and works like a charm........

To telnet, click START > RUN and type Telnet ip.address.of.dreambox
A command window will appear, enter username root and password dreambox.

To backup an image using Telnet

* Telnet to the box and paste the following command:

cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img

* FTP to the box and navigate to the /tmp
* Here you will find the backup.img file.

To flash an image using Telnet

This method will only work with a .img image file.

* Rename the image file to backup.img
* FTP the image file to the /tmp folder on the dreambox
* Telnet to your box and paste the following command:

cd /tmp && eraseall /dev/mtd/3 && cp backup.img /dev/mtd/3 && reboot

Rodboy, I have found all the various keys from my dbox that I have lifted, however I cant find evocamd anywhere and how would I know it is chmod 755

Also when I went in to var/bin/emu and tried to FTP evocamd(shortcut) it wouldn't let me and when I tried to open it, it said 550 failed to change directory
