Had Vantage_011802.hdp, which could read sly card, recently uploaded latest emu Vantage_0244010.hdp and now can't, any idea's?

go back to the previous one which did read the card you was using in it. the new software must have a bug in it which might be fixed in the next software release

if it was working before i tend to leave it till there is a newer software that does something would make it worth while updating it.

There are about 12 new fw files inbetween the two i tried, didn't know if I had to do something daft, like load them all in the correct order? Will try some in the middle to see if they work.

Did you make bid for HD 6000S? HD is great!

no i didn't bid for one as i'm going to wait and get the 8000s as i want the hardware blind scan which the 8000s has

you can load any firmware you like on it , if your sly card was working go back to the one which it was working on as really there is nothing that needs the newest firmware as channels whats open can be updated by softcam file etc

also when you loaded the new firmware did you do a factory reset as its recommended to do so

Hardware blind scan? - This is a whole new world for me. lol

Yep tried factory reset - no joy. Will keep old FW as get BBC HD, ITV and CH 4 HD.

blind scan is a scan of the satellite transponders to find new channels and feeds. the scan can search for new channels or feeds in 1, 2,3,4 or 5mhz steps.

so for example it would scan frequency 11398 and then depending on the step chosen , next scan frequency 11403 if you chose a 5mhz step blind scan and so on
