bush bfsat01 software update?

Hi, new poster, probably old question but but help appreciated!

bought the bush sd box couple of weeks ago and it works well. The only problem is the software hasn't updated from 1.1.12 yet so i can't manually add non freesat channels. Pretty frustrating.

phoned bush digital but not much help there. Is the update still on the air?

Press the ‘MENU’ button on your remote control, and choose option ‘2’. Select ‘Receiver Upgrade’ and press the ‘OK’ button.

For the manual scan of Non-Freesat channels:

In the settings menu if you press 2846 it opens a manual scan window.

The 2,8,4,6 thing i know about but although i receive good signal strength & quality when scanning for available fta channels i cannot add them....the add channels feature does not work on software v1.1.12, it only worked on the next software build.

the manual software update i was told worked by setting to manual upgrade as you mention but then by pressing guide and leaving the thing in the epg. This never works for me but im trying as you suggest by just setting to manual then touching nothing. Maybe a couple of hours will yield results!

i heard that oad via satellite was a costly business and that perhaps they were only broadcasting it intermittently since the update dates from july i think.

No joy. Anyone else know what's going on? Its the standard def box i forgot to mention. Bushdigital are a waste of time on phone. Spent twelve quid for nonsense advice so its hard to justify more calls on a fifty quid product

1.4.33. is the latest software version,I think,for the SD Freesat receivers.
Have you tried doing a new customer install,and then see whether,after doing that,it updates the software?

Bush manual scan instructions:

Go to MENU, SETTINGS and choose 'Add non-freesat services'. Then select MANUAL SCAN.

On the screen that appears, enter the MHz, polarisation and symbol rate. Then highlight SCAN (it will say STOPPED), press the R> cusor to change this to SCAN and wait. Any channels found with the entered parameters will be auto- stored in the next empty memory locations, which start at 3000.
Now back out to the SETTINGS menu and click the SHOW NON- FREESAT CH's to ON. (this is a once-only setting)

To access the 3000 channels, step down from ch 101 or bring up the channel list and press swap. Highlight the wanted channels and press ENTER.

I've tried new install before but no software update. Will try again today. The add new non freesat menu option is not present in v1.1.12 it only appears once the new software loads. on release you were not able to add non freesat channels. although the hidden menu 2,8,4,6 was present it did not allow t he adding of non freesat channels.
