hi all,looking for some help as iam a complete novice.
i have a HD-TV samsung LE32R74BD
a dvd surround sound system LG HT303SU
sky+ and a x-box360 i was wondering how the hell do i set it all up so that i get sound through the surround sound system for all the appliances as at the moment i only get it when a dvd is playing any help would be much appreciated.

Try this.
Connect your DVD to scart 1 or Component i/p on the TV. Connect Sky+ to scart 2 or scart 1 if not used for DVD. Connect Xbox 360 to HDMi i/p on the TV. Then using a red/white phono lead connect the TV audio o/p to the phono aux i/p on the DVD amp, then select aux on the DVD to listen to all sound from the TV through the DVD amp.

Could also try as above but if your tv has a optical output as my samsung tv does and the LG surround sound has optical input then optical cable between the 2 with the others connected as per Charlie's instructions...

I checked the instruction manual. The TV does not have an optical o/p. Of course the manual could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
