Default Flashign a Factory Standard sb5100

chaps,

Got a modem here it's a SB5101 and it has the factory standard motorolla web page on it (192.168.100.1) how do i go about flashing this?

Is it a simple case of plopping haxor over the top of it ? (the same as the sb5101e) i know i done a one the other day that was a sb5101e, it had infinite on it and i needed to flash back to factory with my jtag......

how ever is the 5101e image the same as the sb5101

Thanks

EDIT : 5100

it is 5100 or 5101??

if its stock, you just flash FW over the top.

if its 5100 - use 5100mod
if its 5101 - use haxorware

only difference between I (or no letter) and E is the tuner hardware, it runs the exact same fw

ok been having a look about whist you been working... and seen there is talk of unbricking them by touching a chip with a wire.

and the instructions say

1.see pic
2.WRITE ALL flash with sb5100-NOSH.BIN
3.WRITE SIGMA-X-1.6RC4.BIN
4.CLIK THE SB5100 TAB AND USE THE FLASH BOOTLOADER TAB,USE SIGMAX-BL_v2[3][1].6-LITE.BIN
5.REBOOT MODEM WITH RJ45 IN MODEM NOW USE 192.168.100.1:1337 IN YOUR ADDRESS BAR

but using that i can do the 1st 3 but the 4th it fails on.....

So i was looking at jtag utility and as you can see after numerous attempts i can get it to recognise it again but i'm not sure if im barking up the wrong tree and the chip needs to be lifted as you say.
