Dbox problems

Hi All,

I recently acquired a nokia dbox with commando 8.20 image installed, when i perform a scan it finds over 200 channels but i can only access the free channels like bbc & itv. Whenever i select any other channel it says decode pending but the channel never comes on.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Your image needs updating mate.

Make sure your box is running on the evocam EMU and transfer the rom 7 fix of November 08 to the var/keys folder of your box.....overwrite the file of the same name that is already there...........reboot your box then zap to Sly Sports 1 and wait a few minutes till the keys clear..............

Thanks for the prompt response, ive copied the rom 7 fix across, there were no other files in the keys folder. I have also set the softcam to evocamd under the softcam/ucode/nagra rom menu.

evocamd version is 2.14b according to the box and the active ucode is 0014

nagra rom status is rom 3, 7, 10 and 11 enabled.

I left it on sky sports for 10 or so mins, still no joy. Think something may still be wrong or am i just being impatient!

So you have cams but no keys...........

go to Mercs and download a full image and either reflash the box or rip the keys from var/keys using newtuxflashtool and ftp them to your current image.............do not overwrite the fixed rom7 !!!

OK none of the images i downloaded from the site had anything in the keys folder, i took the info from one of the lincsat images and ftp it into the keys folder on the commando image.
This seems to work for about 10 mins then it cuts off, a power cycle resolves this for another 10 or so mins then it cuts off again, any thoughts?

go for the blade quad image, ifa that then fxp the rom 7 update to var keys folder, delete all the nagrarom keys in that folder then you will get all
