Default Updating the Keys bin file using Fausto

First you need a copy of the Diablo Keys bin file to update, it is always best to use one that is in the latest underworld file.
After you have loaded the latest Underworld file, onto your Diablo Cam, click on the Cam File Syatem tab and Connect.
In the right hand pane you will see the Keys bin file currently loaded on your Diablo Cam, highlight this and click the green arrow pointing left.
This will copy the keys bin file onto your computer desktop.
You can now start updating it using Fausto.
Start up Fausto, click the yellow folder icon and navigate to the keys bin file on your desktop.
Fausto converts the bin file to a XML file, for you to work with.
Assume you want to update the keys for Digi TV.
Click on the encryption type, so click on the plus next to Nagra 2.
Now click on the + for Digi TV and Keys.
Click on Key 86
In the right hand pane you can now see the information for Digi TV key 86 (00)
Type, or copy and paste, the new key.
Once complete, update any other keys you need to, and once complete save the file, by clicking the floppy disk icon, or File, Save Keys.
Fausto will save 2 versions of the file, the original Keys.bin file and a newly created Keys.xml file, you can delete this and just load the updated keys.bin file back onto your diablo cam.
You can also add providers, create CAID files, and various other things with Fausto, have a look under Tools for more options.

Hi Mickha,

I've installed Fausto v1.35, but it does not seem to do anything.

The Fausto splash screen shows with the text:

Fausto 1.35:
The Road to Damnation

Then the splash screen dissapears, and there is a "button" in my task bar.
If I left click on it nothing happens, if I right click the only options I get are Minimize or Close.

Have I missed something that is required in the install ?

Thanks.

What Operating System are you running?
The program should start up immediately and only appear as an icon in your task bar if you minimize it.
Try unraring and installing it again, and check that your anti virus isn't deleting part of the file.
I'll also upload an earlier version for you to try.

You put the new key in the Value address bar, ensure any letters are in capitals.
A Hexadecimal key consists of a combination of letters A-E and numbers 0-9.
