Default Sat Info required for beginner

Hi i am just looking into the sat option. I currently use cable with a starview box which allows me to recieve all the cable channels :-)

I have a few questions am hoping you guys can help me with.

1. Is the sat option like the cable option as in you buy a box update its firmwear and you can recieve all the channels you would get with a sky subscription?

2. Do u need to enter codes in to recieve the channels??? or does the firmwear update take care of that?

3. I understand that with a motorised dish you can point your dish at different satalites! Is this required to get all the channels free????

4. Can you reccomend a good system with all the components needed and an estimated price!

Any help would be great! the cable system is great easy to setup and does what it says! Fingers crossed this will be even better

Yes, some of the channels that are on the Sky platform are available elsewhere, but not the likes of Sky 1 etc.

You can get channels on different satellites that carry English Audio!

For instance Digitv is Open at the moment and it contains alot of sport and documentary's with English Audio

But that TV package will be secure soon
