It depends where you are.

There are some satellites that you wont get if you have a 1m or an 80cm dish in some locations, in others a 1m will do it.

16E requires a slightly larger dish depending on loaction.

Not sure about that way, You might get 7W with a 1m, I would have thought 16E would be OK on a 90cm. Pure guesswork I'm afraid, you might have to suck it and see. You probably wont get either on an 80cm, that goes for 26E too.

They're the main sats that a 1m will give you half a chance, over an 80cm

I would not go less than 80cm, although theres still quite a bit available on a 60cm, you might lose Thor with that though, and you don't want that to happen.

You could always try a cheapish 80 cm, and upgrade a bit later on to a larger one once you have got used to it.

A TD88 would be a fair option, they are said to perform very well. 16e shouldn't be a problem, 26e is on the cards too. Small chance of 7W, maybe the odd stronger vertical transponder.

I know what you mean about 1m dishes. I have done a few of those on fronts of houses, and boy do they look big.

Dishpointer.com will help you to decide that. It will show a green line showing where the dish has to point for every satellite, and give you the elevation angle. As long as there is nothing above that, it will be fine, the dish may need to go higher to get over any roofs that are in the way.
