hi. im using a TM1500ci and is the same set up. ive been trying to fathom out why on just Astra2 28* the Quality meter is down. everything else seems ok. i still have 13* 16* and 19*. AND .. the pictures on 28* still work ok too.
crazy !!! ive just spent another hour tweaking the dish and lnb with no joy. this is as good as it gets. ... see pic >> http://www.picturebay.net/img/member...ignal2_90p.jpg ![]() similar problems started when my old Echostar was going on the blink. could this be De-Ja-vu ?? ... thnx for any clues.

WAIIT
so astra 2 is still fine? have you used some other transponders to check if that's the issue?

hi. im not 100% sure wots going on.
1. ive tuned to a working ch on 28*. then i go into the menu .. and i get 96% level (which is good) but nearly zero Quality. while im in this menu there apears to be no settings i can adjust other than the lnb FQY or type. 2. if i select another working tp and go back into the menu ... its still the same. im just having another look but i cant see anything to adjust. oh .. i also disconnected the 4-way diseqc on one test .. and went direct to the lnb .. but its still the same. ??? weired.

im still fiddling with it. if i go into PID search and select Transponder (2) i get a better result !! but i cant see how to save it unless i delete TP (1)
i may try that. ive really never fiddled in the menus other than sort and delete $pay chnls. thnx for your help.

The likelihood is that when you are in the Satellite set up, the signal level/quality you see is for the default transponder that the TM uses for 28e i.e. likely TP 1. Two things, could you provide the details of that TP1, please? Second, if you do a search on 28e, do you get any channels at all, are they watchable and are they definitely 28e channels?

what ive just done on Astra2 28* is to go thru my TP list and delete ALL that are giving me a bad reading. i did test a couple .. before i deleted them .. but they were not showing up. i guess all my updating has led to this. ive been meaning to reset the STB and have a fresh scan. anyhow i couldnt believe the amount of -dead- TP,s. there were 16 on astra2 !!
Eutel sat 16* over 1/2 were RIP !! ive not done this before .. so in future i will check this 1st. i think its ok now. the 1st one tp(1) in the list is as it should be now. hoorah. so far everything looks good. thnx for all your help its appreciated.

Good going but you should compare your 28e transponder list with FlySat Eurobird 1 - Astra 2A/2B/2D @ 28.5/28.2° East
