Default The best sats

I am an English speaker living on the Continent. I got very excited about the flexiblity Sat TV would give me without the excessive fees so many providers charge. After seeing all the lists of free access stations on the backs of the dish boxes I decided to buy.

My installation went well and I have picked up several sats. Problem is that so far there have been very limited stations in English. In fact the list with the dish even indicate Sky but the stations haven't appeared. The dish is only 70cm but reception seems strong.

So the question, CAn someone tell me which is the best Sats to use for English stations?

The best sat for English stations is Astra 2 at 28e, you will get BBc, ITV and all the FTA chanels, check Lyngsat for a full list of chanels.

Thanks. I was trying to figure that out. On this list I saw it was 28.2 Astra 2aA,B,C,D. Is this all one sync or do I need to separately register them?

Thanks again.

Most boxes use ASTRA 2 to describe the 28e cluster of satallites which is Eurobird 1, Astra 2a,b,c,d. If certian transponders aren't listed on your box, and you can't get an update you can add them manualy. If you go to Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B/2C/2D at 28.2°E - LyngSat this will give you a full transponder and chanel list for the 28e cluster. It will also tell you which chanels are free to air.

You might want to check out the rest of the site for other satalites listings to.

Hope I've explianed that clearly, if not post back.
