Default Laptop doesnt pick up home wireless network

i have a toshiba laptop with a build in Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter and a belkin 54g router, the problem is that da laptop doesnt pick up the router.

also i have a computer that will pick up the router fine so ders no problem with the router or cable modem.

any ideas wats rong???

Look for a wireless switch or button,it might be turned off.
Try pressing "Fn" & "F2" to see if that turns it on

probs with ur belkin, not all laptops will recognise belkin routers. if u got receipt take it back and replace with a linksys router.

as posted above have you turned the switch on.

hi, iv just gota belkin54g & it pics my HP G70- laptop up no probs !

the only prob im having is settting the security up .....i entered a password ! & on the laptop it says .security passwork .o,k fine e.c.t ..........but on the router its self the security light dosent light up ! any1 else got 1 of these , who can tell me if iv got it set up right ,,,thanks guys

or also check on the router setting ssid broadcasting and make in sure that it's on

reset router, go modem to router then to laptop

also if my mind is right for a **** belkin you have to use the wireless zero software like a small pc icon on task bar?

anyways make that chain as i said and re set every thing up
