You can use F connectors, BNC connerctors and standard ariel connectors on all coax. The grade of cable depends on what the cable is carying. Is it a satallite signal from an LNB in which case RG6. Though if any portion of the cable is outside, i prefer foam insulated like CT100.

Actually the signal becoming very weak on RG6 so do u think that RG11 is more better than RG6 because the card voltage can not switch the polarity on the Diseqc Switch.

I've never used RG-11 so not sure as to the spec. As it sounds like the cable is going to your dish I would recommend using CT100 or WF100 as these are foam insulated cables and specifically designed and shielded for use between LNB's and recievers.

How long is the run?
Up to 30-40m wf100 or equivalents will be fine, you can get away with longer than that too. wf125 will give 6 to7 dB less attuation for a 100m reel at the top end of the band. wf165 approx 10dB less.

Total Run is about 30 to 36 meters and i am using RG-6 cable, on reaching the DVB PCI CARD the signal remains like 36% and when i am up near the dish with ordinary receiver the signal is 50 to 60% now tell me how can i get the maximum signal this was b4 but now since yesterday night i went up to realign the dish again i faced another problem that some time the signal is 60% and some time the signal 0% i change with three lNB's but the same. I am in Riyadh and Saudi arabia and my dish is facing toward Asiasat 3s.
Thanks Ehsan |

Sounds to me like you need to tweak your dish and lnb to improve the signal. I would check on the reccomended dish size for your location and make sure yours is big enough to recieve the sat you are trying for.

I'm not sure on the dish sizes for your location but would think that it would be big enough. Can you post details on the make of the dish and lnb plus maybe a photo ? The only thing that I can think is that the dish isnt correctly alligned, Try moving the dish very slowly, a couple of mm at a time to improve the signal. Perhaps with more details about the dish etc others might have an idea how to help.
