Question Which HDD for Starview USB PVR

Hi I am looking for an Ext HDD for my Starview PVR, I have read that some do not work and know not to go over 300 gb, I have been looking at some 250gb ones but not sure if they will work and cant really afford to make that mistake, does the read speed have to be a certain amount as I know somebody that uses 5400rpm but have also seen some 7200rpm, if anybody can recomend some models or just tell me what should work will be very much appreciated - Thanks

Please take a look at these to let me know if they should work - Thanks
Western Digital 250GB External Hard Drive on eBay, also, Internal External Hard Drives, Drives Storage, Computing (end time 28-Jan-09 20:40:44 GMT)

ATMT 300GB External Hard Drive on eBay, also, Internal External Hard Drives, Drives Storage, Computing (end time 28-Jan-09 20:47:24 GMT)

Although the 2nd one has password management so could that be a problem for the starview?

Thanks for that, I have never bothered with external HDDs before so I guess some have their own mains leads and some draw there power from the Starview USB port, seems to me that the safer bet is to use the former, I guess this Starview is not all that popular as the only confirmed HDD I have read on here is the Western Digital My passport but I was hoping to obtain one a little cheaper than that if I am honest, Also the drive must be no bigger than 300gb, if anybody has succesfully used any other model of drive I would appreciate the post - Thanks
