Hi, Have you followed the floppy instructions installing the correct drivers etc for your OS? try firedtviewer it should work best then use others if you want, is the bruteforce the correct symbolrate for your area? check here -http://www.dslzoneuk.net/ntl_region.php? Put the bruteforce in the transponders folder C/program files/FireDTV then start FireDTV right click in the black tv screen select view/channelscan select your bruteforce from the dropdown (transponder list) make sure the reception type is cable then click scan frequency, if you get a signal the status bar will show (coloured). You then select scan, if there is no signal you’re wasting your time. Let us know.

Hi done as you said the status bar shows from red to green then displays PAT red, when i do a range scan it gets a signal (signal bar goes green) but it doesnt find any channels. There shouldnt be a signal problem as my dreambox works fine...

Thanks

More than likely the wrong symbolrate in the bruteforce transponder file, do you know the symbolrate/area from your dreambox?? if not type your postcode into that site I gave above and let us know.

Hmmm, strange, does your transponder file say 6952 if you open it with an editor, is it a .ini file?, are you sure you are chooseing the correct file from the drop down list- it should say 6952 in the symbolrate when you scan frequency.

get ur service file from ur dreambox...assume its an enigma image, switch the service file to a neutrino using bouquetter and this will give u all ur transponder frequencies as well as ur sym rate 6952

Afternoon guys,

Dont mean to hijack but I'm having a similar problem.
Im getting 0% signal strength on the Firedtv support tool and the Channel Scan screen.
Would the transponder symbol rate effect this?

During the setup I was ask to choose a Transponder Parameter but there wasnt one for NTL or Ireland so I just picked Cable 6900.
The correct SR is 6887.
Is there any way to over ride this?

I have tried putting my own N*L.ini transponder file in the transponder folder but FDTV viewer wont let me select it in the dropdown.
The only comination I can select is:
Reception type:Terrastrial
Transponder: FireDTV (MCE)

Any tips?

Thanks again,
Wavey.
