EX7000HD Review......
well the pre - orders have been delivered set up and here we are. My box came today approx 10:30 but was not able to get home till 4:30 to set up. In the box came the EX7000HD box, remote control, batteries, coax2F type connector, instruction manual and last but not least set up instructions from Zemme. Plug box in connected directly to feed in from NTL and followed instructions. Box took awhile to be set up but eventually set up and found approx 390 channels both TV and radio, (obviously some of the tv channels are duplicated and duplicates will need to be removed at some point). Initial menu screen came on asking me to set up date, time, county of origin, then on to scan. Menus are a nice deep red colour and writing easy to read. This is on a 32" LCD nailed to the wall connected via HDMI. As an ex starview user menus and navigation will take a few days to get used to, but first impressions are very positive. Screen on box also very easy to read and displays channel number, channel name and output resolution to tv i.e 1080i. Very very impressed with tv upscaler and HD channel BBC HD very good indeed. Obviously as a first review and a brand new box, users are going to want to customise in their own way. Have not yet tried PVR function, but will do tomorrow. Overall a very well built box as a first time Eurovox user very impressed with setup and options within menus. Finally would like to thank Zemme for supplying the box and all the updates on delivery can see this box going far with future firmware updates. Only update I would like to see would be customisation of menu colours. Thanks for reading. All the best Siffion |

i used to prefer the menu on the max v etc, where you press menu and then see what channels have now and next, with this box you cant you have to go thru every single channel which is a tad annoying, colour theme changes would be a nice touch

Just beeen playing around with my HD box, and..........I'm impressed.
![]() I've hooked it up to my 50" Panny plasma both with scart set to RGB and HDMI and I'm well pleased with the results from both. I've been sorting my favourites out and moving them around no problems but what I can't understand is that if I re-name the group i.e. Group 1 from favourites 1 to Sports 1 it saves it ok but the "Sports" bit does'nt show up anywhere on the FAV channel listing..weird. Other than that, I havent tried the USB yet and PVR side. Overall, very pleased I went down this route for the HD box.

im not keen, too many problems with it, making your favourites is a pain with buttons on the virtual keyboard etc not working, its not picking up certain frequencies that my old box does, there is no EPG data to tell u what each program is about, you have to flick thru each channel to find the channel you want if you cant remember the channel number, as the favourite button doesnt open up all your favourites, just takes you to that favourite group

If you try a deep scan instead of a fast scan, it will pick up the missing frequencies.
