Default A little help would be great. Motorised dish setup

First of all thank you for the guides on this forum , thanks to all involved in writing them . They are so well written that even a complete dummy like me should be able to sett the dish up. However, all guides for motorised setup, we are being told to focus our dishes on 1.W (or on the sat closest to the top of the arc, based on our location)so when the motor swings it follows the arc properly. Well in my case 1w (as for most of us) is the one I should be looking at as my longitude is: -0.3774°.Trouble is there is a f@$£ tree in the way. Was wondering if I could set the motor and dish (all the settings on the motor, dish and receiver) and fix it on the south spot on, so when it moves it will follow the arc properly as not only they move but also `lay over` as motor moves the dish from top of the arc in either direction) But instead of sending it to 1W , send it to next available sat in clear view and doing the final adjustment there? Common sense tells me that it shoud be ok but better ask someone who knows before investing any money, than be sorry later . Just to give you an idea where I`m coming from I will try to send a picture. Fed up with Hotbird and astra (dual focus) and although I will miss all the goods on 1w will make a best use of whatever else is available in my location .
Best regards,
Simon

The tree doesn`t look too bad on this photo but it is not really up to date and was taken ages back (can tell by the state of the park on the right)

Yes. You can use 5e or 5w. If you have USALS it will make it easier. Once you have set up choose a strong transponder on one of the sats and send it there. Slacken motor from pole, and dish bracket. Peak the signal. Tighten motor back to pole. Done.

If you wanted 1W, maybe you could stick another dish up on the front of the property looking over the roof.

Thanks for your replies
As for installing on the front of the house , unfortunately SHE woudn`t have it. (strange if you ask me, as majority of normal people would prefer to have it on the wall that you normaly dont`t look at, and you don`t normaly sit on the driveway do you? ( tried to explain it to her, but hey we are talking about the lady of the house )Would be a great option to have it installed on the SW wall on the mast just high enough to go above the gutter level so the dish can turn yet be fairly easy to reach in case of any problems, but she woudn`t have it either. Have no other choice but stick to the current plan for now . Wish I could sneak into the park with a chainsaw though .

Regards ,
Simon

What about right at the very bottom of your garden? the signal from 1W might just sneak past the tree.

I know what you mean about the Lady of the House lol. Should have seen the face on mine when I was putting my 1.1m Triax up
