Hi

I think i've bricked an Ambit 250.
I used console unlocker and softjtag to flash the bootloader, which worked fine.

When i booted the modem i missed the 'p' option so rebooted again and got nothing but a blank console screen and the modem only has the power and enet led's lit

Does anyone know a way to fix it without lifting the TSOP?

what i normally find is if i dont get the "p" option i turn the modem off then back on again then press "p" again because it comes on straight away, it might not be the case with everyone though.

have you tried closing and re-starting the pc and then trying the process again.

you need to restart the process of console and softjtag if you missed the p , ive never missed the p

No cant restart the process, the modem is completely dead.

I'll just make sure i get the P next time

yes, its a brick, thisline gave it away in the first post.

Thanks Bad, I use a USB serial port cos i've got no RS232 on my mobo.
Do you think that could have had any thing to do with it or was it just cos i missed the P

Just missing the P wont brick it, I know cause I missed it twice but
caught it the 3rd time and flashed the modem ok , each time I had to use the
unlocker and softjtag again
