is there a way to take the box back to firmware factory default? as it doesnt do it when i select factory reset which i knew wouldnt anyway!

I would imagine that it would do that automatically as soon as you reflash, the same as the other boxes.

cant reflash, box just says same firmware version or something similar

Sorry, I misunderstood. Does yours have the 22/1/09 firmware on it? Mine did but somehow I downgraded it, bloody thing didn't even show anything was happening when it happened. I didn't realise it was pre flashed you see. The trouble is I cannot get the new fw back on it.

nor did i, mine says 8/1/09 i didnt know there was a new firmware out??? damn i cant believe i was so stupid not to check first

It wasn't out when we got our boxes but it was pre installed. I didn't check either because I thought all boxes were sold blank.

Hi Folks.

The instructions we sent out does mention the firmware version that is installed. In specific read on the instructions that say:

Firstly & Before You Start To Scan The Box You Need To Check That The Latest Software Version Is Installed On The Receiver.

Press MENU
Scroll Right To SYSTEM
Scroll Down To SYS INFO & Press OK
The S/W VER Should Be V01.01-00
The LAST UPDATE Should Be JAN 22 2009

After You Have Verified This Information, Press EXIT

yeah me aswell i thought it was FTA, so is this new FW out now then? cos i can only see the 8/1/09 version
