Eurovox ex5100 pvr not recording

well i have a 120gb seagate hd thats the 1 i got with the box i ordered.

i was told that this is the only disk that slots directly into the E5100PVR without mods.

i had similar issues with my box too but installing then turning off, leaving for a while and then back on again, letting it sit for a few mins and then turning on, leaving for a minute then clicking Record did the job.

hi to all, just bought my eurovox pvr 5100, i can get it to record and everything, but wen i record manually i.e. record wot i am currently watching, my epg seems to go blank and also wen i try to skip through channels it only allows me to view 3 nearest channel e.g. if im record on SS1, i can only flick thru SS2 and probably SS3. Why is this. Can sum1 help me pls

If you are recording a particular channel then the receiver is locked to that frequency. Hence you will only be able to see the channels that are on that same frequency.

As a matter of interest, I have put an old laptop fujitsu 20 GB hard drive into a 5000 and it works fine. Ok it wont record hours and hours of tv but it works fine for about 5 or so hours of recording and is ok for timeslip.

As most of my recording is for the odd programme which I watch and then delete, it will do for a while.

so is there ne way of sorting this out say like the sky+ box, because i fort u can watch ne channel u want whilst recording a particular programme?

I also have the same problem with the seagate 120gb saying full or not installed, when i first installed the drive it was working fine, the next day it wasnt, anybody got any info ??

If you press the PVR button you will see a message saying "no hard drive installed or full", just ignore the message & press the record button. After recording for a short time, stop the recording. Try the PVR button again. When something is already recorded & stored on the hard drive, the PVR will bring up all the info. This is just how the current software functions.

I find this impossible to do as recording wont start because the box thinks its full or not installed.

i no this is a bit of topic, but my SET UP BOX WILL NOT TURN ON FROM STAND BY, ON STANDBY THE 4 DASHES ARE DISPLAYED AND WHEN I TRY TO TURN IT ON NOTHING HAPPENS. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE?

Hi, has anyone sorted out the EX5100PVR recording problems yet,as I am getting the drive full or not inserted properly message,have tried all variations of remedies suggested here,but same results.
Someone please help

ive still had no luck, i emailed the people i purchased my box from and they said to reformat the drive but im unsure on how to do so..
