telnet to modem dont work.....upgrade haxor

i set my network to 192.168.100.10, put the new haxor in tftp.....run tftp it shows correct ip address....

then i run telnet 192.168.100.1 i see a box for a little while says connecting and then nothing, shuts it's self down.

Last night when i tried it took me ages to get modem back from that horrid 169......ip address.......


any ideas.?

enable telnet on the modem and reboot?
