As per usual I am sorry if this answered somewhere but I have searched and searched and can't find it. I am a total noob but have been doing my best to research on about modding my ambit 250 for the last couple of weeks. I got the equipment and used the guides to try and give it ago but my problem is using hyperterminal
Now start hyperterminal and make a new connection. Use the com port that your serial is connected to on your PC using these settings: Bits per second: 115200 Data bits: 8 Parity: None Stop bits: 1 Flow control: None This is the part I seem to be having problems with. If somebody could help or even point me in the right direction i'd be grateful. |

Hi brucie2728,
I have an RS232 cable, and as my computer doesn't have a serial port I got a USB adapter which the RS232 cable plugs into and then into the USB. |

and by the way it may not be com port 1 if you have a USB serial connecor, My one comes up as COM3.
When you start hyperterminal type any thing as the name and press OK, then select the COM port from the dropdown menu at bottom of next window. Then for the rest of the settings you should only have to change the Bits per second to 115200 an the Flow control to none. The other settings should be set any way then when you get through to the blank console screen power up the modem and be ready to press 'P' , be quick though otherwise you'll miss it |

Right. Thanks for your help bruce2728, I will try that and post again whether it has worked or not.
My main problem has been actually using hyperterminal itself. |
