Default Humax PVR

Please help, i recently bought a Humax freesat pvr, this requires two cable inputs from lnb. I have a quad lnb and I’m getting a good signal from one cable but none from the other. The cable I’m not getting a signal from was working fine upstairs using a sky digibox but will not work when I run it to the living room either on a sky digibox or the Humax. Please any suggestions ????

You might try the connections mate and the fitting of the F connectors. You could try another feed from the LNB, I mean use another output from it to the box. Hope you get it sorted, as I am sure you will have a great time with the box when it is all sorted.

Very best regards Wez

Not sure about the Humax, but with the Dreambox 7025 you need to st the feeds to the right settings, i.e. you can set the second input to be a loop through from the first feed, or a separate feed from the LNB. I am not trying to be patronizing to you, I am in the dark about your box, just suggesting what might help you out. Good luck with it and I hope you have it sorted very soon.

Very best regards Wez

If you've tried the second feed to a Sky STB and that doesn't work, there's a fault in that feed. If you've tried that with a different output on the LNB, then verified that output still works with its original cable, the fault on the second feed must be in your cable.
DO NOT PLUG/UNPLUG FEEDS WITH THE RECEIVERS POWERED.
Check the fitment on the F-connectors ensuring the braid doesn't short against the conductor, and that there's enough conductor length for the socket/LNB.
Check the cable is unbroken and that there are no kinks or sharp bends.
If there is damage, either replace the whole run or repair with two F-connectors and a back-to-back joiner.
Once you have two feeds either of which works with the Sky STB, connect them to the LNB1 and LNB2 INPUTS of the HDR, then RUN THE SETUP AGAIN to detect both feeds.
