Default Re: getting rid of sky

I have an old LG one, analogue tuner, with a built in hard drive and a DVD writer, allows me to edit recordings and then burn them to DVD, which I find very useful.
It's connected to my satellite receiver via a scart lead and records anything I want, of course, for timer recordings, using different satellite channels, I have to set the timers on both the satellite receiver and the DVD recorder, but it's not a problem.
It all depends on your budget and what you require from the DVD recorder.

my budget is around 150 quid. Do you rekon I would get a decent one for this price ? or would I need to spend more?

You could probably get a similar one to the one I'm using for that budget, not a HD one but perfectly useable.

Mine is a lot older model RH 27?H, I can't recall the exact model number.

There are probably other similar models available, from different manufacturers, try a google search for DVD recorder with hard drive and DVD burner.

Thank you so much.. I will have a look into this and do a bit more research on it. I would prefer a HD one.

Once again Thanks for the prompt replies guys.

kind regards
