Problem Creating CDF file

Hi,

I am probably doing something stupid or not waiting long enough but I cant create a CDF file on my pvr5000.

I have tried using the UFC to make a .CDF file. I press upload then get prompted to name the file, then press save, then a pop up window appears with Ver 2.0 detected, I then press the start button I get the message "waiting for response ....". This I have left running for nearly 1/2 hour with no results so I just close out (on my vox during this time I get an uploading message). I am running the UFL on a linux OS as that is my only machine with a 9-pin connection. I think I flashed my box ok in Dec - am running the following S/W ver : 1.0 ST4 Oct 28 2008 on my pvr5000 and I have not yet inslalled a hard drive.

I suppose my 1st question is how long should the file creation take and 2 what am I doing wrong.

Any help will be appreciated.

I think you mean you use the UFL and do an upload to save your favourites, I usually do a Save As and add the something in the title to remind me why I needed to do this.

Anyway the upload only takes seconds. You then need click on the top Download button and it changes to Start, click on Start and the download should commence. When finished click on the bottom Download button and Browse to retrieve your CDF file. I think that should do it for you.
