Hello, totally new to cable boxes so undoubtably i'll be looking for help trying to set things up. Firstly I'm thinking of buying the Starview4 super USB. Seems simpler to me to use USB for data transfer. Does anyone NOT recommend the Starview4?
I've done a site search to see where's best to purchase the box. I was thinking of BubbleCableBoxes.Com but have been put off by the large ammount of negative comments on this site about this company. Can anyone recommend a cheap, reliable place to but one. Thanks. |

hi m8 ....wizard satelite and my cable box are both ok.....sv 4 usb is a good box..although there have been some reports of boxes brickin on 822 code durin bad flashin..some peeps have suggested it may be caused by loss of power durin flashin or bad memory sticksor by addin and /or removin the usb stick while the box is still on,,and i ve also seen it posted that the sellers r aware of this prob and the decent sellers r just replacin the affected boxes also the boxes have been reported to have some slight probs with epg..which hopefully will be adressed by future firmware.... hope this helps ..bigfella

cheers bigfella. think i'll go for Wizard Sat. Although they do state they will not take returns with any illegal software found on it. will this be a problem if the box bricks on 822 code? Seen you recommend a Starview4 on a previous post, Do you own one?

i know of two people who have bought starview usb 4 from wizard and both boxes have been geniune and have no problems so far and i have read in other posts people recommendin this site as well as my cable box but......i think anyone who buys one of these boxes must accept they are takin a gamble.could last a week ,a month, a year or three,,,, of course you are trying to reduce that gamble by askin for personnel recommendations and tryin to make sure u get a geniune box instead of a clone.if you want certainity,i suggest you pay 60 pounds a month and subscribe to either sly or vermin but you have probably seen by the amount of people who are subscribed to these starview threads... thats theres a lot of happy people out there
![]() with their purchases.. if you have any problems start a thread theres plenty of good people on here who will try and help you .. hope this helps ..bigfella ![]()

There have been some scammers lately mate, be warned!
Why not post his name? If he's genuine and a regular contributer, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

I bought mine from TecDNA, here is the link.
TechDNA - Product Details; Cable receivers, Eurovox EX5000 PVR, Starview 4 USB, Computer gadgets and accessories I think it the cheapest website to buy from at the moment. Really good service, next day delivery and a free 1 GB memory stick. |
