problems with arnet a700c

hi am new here, i have a arnet box, that needs flashing, i have latest software to upgrade and null cable. i am trying of a laptop tho and when am about to flash get the message cant open comport1 any ideas

am in the liverpool area, is there any1 who is close to here who can flash my box for me. i wud travel to them and pay them for their service

if you google how to open com port 1 you will get the answer i had the same issue
