Default Pace Di2000 - Removing Atmels

does anyone have a tut on where the bk is located in the atmels?

also, are both chips required to be lifted?

You need to remove both-there's a part in each one. Use BKE2.2 to read the chips(use CHIP tab) putting left read dump in top box and right in bottom(in the AT49LV1614 boxes)-hit search and you should see BK & IRD. Make sure when you remove you don't mix them up. And I would do 1 at a time, remove right and read, then replace to see if OK. If it comes up 8888 on front you know it's a problem with that chip rather than guessing which 1. Then repeat with left. Good luck-i've only managed to get the buggers off & read-never had any luck in replacing and get working

bent the legs a little more and found the id button on the willem program. successfully got an ird begining with 12

bk looks goodish too.

now am i right in thinking that if i screw it up puitting them back in i can use the other set of pads and join the jumper?

Glad you're getting there-Not too sure about that one about using the other pads-I think there was a way of doing this if need, don't know if it's ok for the 2000's.
Just make sure the pads are nicely cleaned-use a bit of wick and plenty of flux and clean with meths. Tack the atmel back on at end & check that its corectly aligned-it's a tricky operation so take your time-i've launched a couple across the room before
