ive got a eurovox connected to the cable coming out the wall, then a splitter to connect to the modem for the internet. ive recently bought a wireless router, but i keep getting disconnected from the internet every now and then, me mate reckons the splitter weakens the signal. is this right? each time i disconnect from the splitter it works fine. any ideas anyone

Does your splitter have power pass on it mate??

anything splitting the signal will weaken it, infact any break and rejoin in the wire will too.

nar, i saw that in a post the oter day, but the one ive got hasnt got that on, its says:-Tratec RLS-02/MS 5-1000MHz 2way splitter

ive got the same sort of setup and mine keeps disconnecting thought it might just be the wireless buggering up

post us the signal levels your getting
from eurovox
and from modem

eurovox is 82%, the signal from the router says 'excellent'

Get another splitter for what its worth there not expensive.
