Getting Connected Leeds

Hey all :P

have purchased a SB5100e off of a reputable seller on ebay, modded with latest sbmod latest version beta 4.

have tested the modem with the mac off my subbed modem and everything works just fine.

A very helpfull member on a different forum (he reccomended i asked here) loaned me a few mac's from his UBR (different to mine)

one of them worked brieflly but then stopped.

now whenever the modem boots the best i can get is the act2.virginmedia signup page.

The logs inform me that the config supplied by isp is unreg.cm which google tells me is "limited service pending completion of registration" which i guess explains the redirect to act2.VM

have tried manualy setting the tftp ip and also alowing one assigned by isp neither way seems to work, no matter what i do i just get unreg.cm

any suggestions on what to try next

im guessing from incompatable ubr? but then why did one of them work for 5 mins or so :S

is mac trading allowed here? can't spot a relevant sub forum for it
