Have pace box up down buttons not working trying to access service for pin activation ant tips?

open the box up and take the front cover off and press the actual buttons on the pcb

Try to to access engineers menu with cable feed out.
Unplug box.
Take cable feed out.
Hold up & down on front of box.
Plug in power while still holding up & down buttons.
Let go off buttons after about 30 seconds & hopefully box will go into engineers menu.
If successful then you can now activate your pin just by using your remote control.

Tried taking front cover off pressed up down buttons but still not working can i excess it through remote.

open the lid again make sure the ribbon is on both ends what model pace is it

Dont Know exact model name but is the standard black box for ntl about 6 years old
