Hyperterminal Please help

dead easy to get hyper terminal working in vista, just copy hypertrm.dll and hypertrm.exe into a folder on vista and walla, away you go. let me know if you need the files from an xp machine...

hi Guys ,

i have tried all ur suggested but no joy.

i used hyperterminal, when i switch the moderm on nottin happens i just get a blank screen, i have tried playin with the max232 connection to see if i didnt get the rite connection but it still didnt work.

i downloaded putty, i type in a hostname / ip , set port to telnet (tcp:23) there was not connect button so i jus press enter, a black screen shows for like a sec and dissappears straight away.

does any of this sound familiar to anyone, please help.

you use serial, not telnet to flash a modem....

Its much better than hyperterminal.
