Default browsing problems please help!

Hi im new to this site and in desperate need of help , iv got a new hp laptop running vista and Norton 360..problem im having is everytime i type in an adress or click on a google link i hear loads of clicking and get taken to a total different website!
Its driving me nuts so any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like you have a browser hijack of some sort

Hi and welcome to Techwatch
sounds like you have a browser hijacker, you need to run some adware/spyware programs to try and solve it.
good free ones to try are superantispyware and malware bytes

EDIT : analoguesat beat me to it
