I have recently soft modded my wii with homebrew. It is a PAL version. Is it possible now to play ntsc back up games or do I need to add more software to make it region free?

You can play NTSC backups but make sure you convert them to PAL. Do a Google search for "Wii NTSC to PAL".

you need wiiBrickBlocker
wii brick blocker
search in google its free mate
it will get the info from your iso and let you know its region then you can patch it with it
will need framework installed tho on your laptop or pc

they will run ntsc anyway might play in black and white if tv setting not set to ntsc or auto
