Hi

Anybody help to sort out conflicting information.I have problems on freeview with five,fiver and five us when the weather is bad.Have been informed I could get these with a sly card.Contacted sly they said I could have one for £17 but they were a new type which only work in there boxes and that would be £146.I looked on flea bay and there a box plus card from sky was £73.I rang sly customer services who said that was a online offer and there cards do work in other cams and do not go down for three years.Looking at cards on fleabay there does seem to be different ones,I have access to someones slybox,or I dont mind paying for a cheap second hand,but which sly card should I be looking at and who is right about using in a cam or how long they are active?

You will need a sly box to keep the card active. I need to put the card back in the sly box overnight every few weeks to reactivate it.

I use the blue card with the yellow house on it in my diablo cam v2.3 with no problems. Sometimes doesnt work when you get a new underworld version but this always seems to get fixed quickly.

You can re-programme your five to receive it on the sat box FTA now, check out kingofsat for the frequencies, the other channels you mention only work with the card in (along with 4hd and sky3)

i use the same card and works fine in diablo 2.3 except for odd blip ive had 6 wks without havein to update card. i only use use it for 4 hd.

if you know of someone with an old box and card in loft then get theirs and wont cost you anything.

i might be able to get u card from next door will pm you if i can.
