That's a bit of a bummer...

Yeah, spoke to them, they sorting me out an RMA number. I'll take some measurements before I return them.

Back to the tt-C1501.

As promised I am reporting back on my TT 1501-C card installation and DVBviewer

No that good, I have to say

I had bit of trouble getting DVBv to pick up the TT 1501-C, complete install and reinstall of both did the trick in the end.

I now scan for channels with inbuilt the UK cable.ini frequency list but it picks up nothing.

After reading the threads it looks like i will have to insert my own transponder 'ini' file into DVBv. I don't yet have Download section privileges and have unsuccessfully looked everywhere on-line, so would anyone be so kind as to PM me the a transponder file?

My area is Liverpool L7 on V*M formally Telewest, I have no Idea what Frequency & modulation etc... I receive?

Thanks in advance

Why don't you guys use a Dreambox 500-C (£55) with DVBLink?

The advantage of this solution is that you can also stream channels over the network to any Desktop/Laptop/Netbook via MCE (you don't need your main computer on in order for this to work as it is connected via the Router to become a network tuner).

Also, its not CPU hungry like the Technotrend, as it does its on processing.

Yeah, I had started to wonder about this, but I have NO clue about dreamboxes etc.

The box size is not a massive issue, stick them somewhere on the network, and stream, like you say.

So, a bit of reading later:

Need a 500c, not sure about which image and whether clones are a problem
Need to ftp some files across, don't need a card
DBox onto network,
Install DVBLink (still in beta, some people having issues)
Do something to do with channel mapping in DVBLink
Set the virtual tuner up in VMC (With TV Pack).

And how would it change channels? Blaster or via DVBLink?

Since its digital...the channels should change over the network via DVBLink/MCE.

I'll try and get hold of a Clone Box for next week and let you know how I get along...cos I quite like the sound of this. If it works well, then I'll prob get rid of my FireDTV Tuner and get two more to make it a triple tuner along with A dvb-s version for all the footie matches they don't show in the UK.
