I'm interested in hearing some more about DVBLink, i've happily been using MediaPortal and hacking the TVServer to support VPlug but would swap over to Media Center straight away if i could get it working.
You can continue using MediaPorta with DVBLink. We will be releasing support for MediaPortal coming days.

Does DVBLink work with multiple cards? I have a two DVB-C card setup and would love to get this working of VMC or Windows 7
Yes, DVBLink supports up to 4 virtual tuners. This means that you can run two copies of DVBViewer, each controlling one of your DVB-C cards and sending the stream to two separate DVBLink tuners.

The price is per product/per DVBLink server installation. If you buy more than one DVBLink product you get the discount.

Hi, does it work with the digital-everywhere version of dvbviewer?

Do you have the skills to create a "false" analogue TV card driver - so VMC/7MC sees an analogue card even though one is not installed? That way we could get the 14 day guide without having to buy and install hardware... DVB-S users would also be interested.

I think DVBLInk will only work with a regular DVBViewer. At least it does not work with DVBViewerGE, DVBViewerTT etc.

You do not need an analogue driver to get Microsoft EPG for it. During DVBLink channel synchronization in MediaCenter you will get microsoft guide channels for all lineups of your region, including analogue TV.

I've been having trouble getting it running on Windows 7, so much so that it kept causing DVBViewer to crash if you hadv DVBLogic installed :/

Is there many known bugs with Windows 7?

Hi there,

I currently have a recently built HTPC and a seperate Dreambox 500c clone (with DW2.0 image on it if I remember rightly)

I remember a good while back I made attempts at streaming from the Dreambox to the pc with some success. I could get most channels to work, but some channels would not play audio, and it appeared to be a known unsolvable problem.

I was planning on buying a Terratec Cinergy C HD Pci card to go onto HTPC instead but noticed on this thread you talking about using the dreamboxes.

So can I ask.....has this streaming issue been since resolved and all channels give audio now? If so, is this working using a different image, or better VLC versions etc? I really hope this is the case, as saves me having to buy the cinergy card and dremelling the end off to let it fit my case

I believe ITV or Channel 4 was one of the offending channels...certainly some of the main channels.

hope you guys can help,

cheers.

Can you please describe your problem at our dvblogic forum so that we and other users can help you in solving it? We have many users happily running DVBViewer with DVBLink on Win7.

Question Re: Technotrend Cards & VMC

[quote=ppenno192;330572]I first have to admit I am a newby.

But I am going to order the TT 1501c Budget to install into my Vista x64 -nVidia n430, Athalon 64x2, VideoMate T750Vista. VMC + 2008 TV Pack system.

Would anyone care to say witch of the dvbviewer->vplug->dvbsbridge pro; or dvbdeam->vplug->dvblink software combos is better? Bering mind I am running a x64 based system.

Sorry for the long wait in updating you on my progress:

I Received the TT1501c card and installed it but it did not detect any channels. After much messing about with transponder files and different DVB programs, I determined that the issue is the crappy V*M signal coming down the wire is too weak for the card to pickup.

I have looked on ebay for cable signal boosters but when I query the seller they say it won't work for V*M cable signals.

Dose anyone know where I can buy a appropriate signal booster?

I tried dvbdream and found it to be unstable. Switched to dvbviewer, very stable an uses fewer resources. So I recommend DVBViewer>vplug>DVBlink.

As for your signal, have you tried plugging it directly into your cable wall outlet without any splitters or other cable hardware connected? If you get channels on a dreambox/subbed receiver normally then there should be no reason why your tt-1501 cant get a decent signal.

Theres plenty of boosters on ebay. Just search "cable tv booster"
